Cleaning Tips for Your Faucets

Bathroom hygiene is important and keeping your bathroom free of germs will help keep your family healthy. Don’t let mold, scum and bacteria build up. Unfortunately bathroom cleaning is one of the least favorite of all household jobs and for obvious reasons.

Here are some tips: the tiny cracks and areas around your faucets can be cleaned with a toothbrush (not one you use in your mouth!). You can use straight vinegar for a powerful cleaning kick.

Showerheads can get clogged with hardwater and lime deposits. Soak it in undiluted vinegar or a professional descaling product and use a small brush like a toothbrush to clean the holes. You’ll likely notice and instant increase in water during your next shower.

Your bathroom sink faucet can get clogged too. Put some vinegar in a plastic bag and tie it to the faucet tap. Leave it like this for several hours. Rinse well. If your faucet is chrome you can rub the cut side side of a lemon on them to remove the mineral deposits.
